ElementZ Official Opening The event was held at the Nanyang Junior College's general purpose hall on the 14th of April 2000. The event was graced by Cluster Superintendent, Mrs. Virginia Cheng and several representatives from the various commercial sponsors. The guest of honor, Minister of Education, R Adm. Teo Chee Hean officially opened the centre to the delight of the 500 odd crowd. Several awards were also given out to individuals and representatives in recognition for their hard work and contribution towards the creation of the centre. Afterwards, R Adm. Teo and the guests proceeded to the Elementz lab for a tour and to view the various works and projects done by students of the various schools in the N1 Cluster.

We would like to express our gratitude to the students and staff of Nanyang Junior College for their hard work and efforts in organizing and ensuring that the event was a smooth and memorable one.
